Othello, we're not in Georgia anymore...

Ok, so a nut-shell update to bring you up to speed: Vet school was completed back in May, 2009, with the completion of the PhD in July, 2011. As you most likely know, I am now at the University of California, Davis, completing a Residency program. I will be doing 2 years here in Davis, and the third down at the San Diego Zoo. I started in August 2011 after a grueling trip from Georgia with only what my car could fit in addition to myself and the ever-present Othello. I plan to sit the ACVP boards in September 2014.

Yikes...4 years? For real?

I'd say that I've been on hiatus from here, but I'm honestly not sure how long that excuse holds...looks like my last post was something on the order of close to 4 years ago. But then, I suppose it's to be expected. I gave myself a journal. As Mark Twain once said, "If you wish to inflict a heartless and malignant punishment upon a young person, pledge him to keep a journal a year." And so I did, and so I failed. Alas.

So, today, valiant readers, I recommence my haphazard recording of personal reflections and general recounting of my activities. Er...enjoy.
